When Emmanuel got off the plane at 5:00 in the morning, he didn't exactly skip away and beg to go to the beach for a full day of fun. He got in the car and my parents drove him to our house in Santa Barbara, California. There, I helped unload his luggage, which was a meager amount compared to what most Americans would bring from Ghana to CA. After we unpacked, he went straight to bed. Day one of Emmanuel's visit wasn't quite as exiting as I thought it would be.

Day 1: "a meager amount" I like that observation...stunning photo, creates anticipation and excitement
Day 2: the beach...running...I love your dialog...I agree on the coffee temperature...nicely chosen video...let's see you at the Sunrise Swim...you can scream all you want!
Day 3: Awesome Yosemite shot...love the conversation with your mom...I once took a visitor from the South Pacific to Yosemite. Drove in at night and set up camp at dark so he could awake to the majesty
Day 4: Vernal Falls first...the Ahwanee second
Day 5:You made me laugh with this one. Sounds like you prefer mattresses and soft towels.
Day 6: Whoa. This ended too quickly. I bet Emmanuel really enjoyed his time with you. Let's see if we can fix the way this striking picture sits in your blog
Anya, what fun it is to read your blog. So full of fun and life. Your dialog fills your blog with energy. Thanks for taking me along and making me smile. I look forward to our travels together.
